§ 4-14. PROBATIONARY APPOINTMENT.

a.

A person hereafter appointed to the Borough Police Department shall be known as probationary patrol officer and shall serve as a probationary patrol officer for a period of one (1) year from the date of such appointment.

b.

A person appointed or promoted to the position of Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, or Chief of Police shall likewise serve a probationary period in such capacity for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of such appointment or promotion.
