§ 14-26. SEPARATE METERS REQUIRED FOR EACH HOUSE.

One (1) water connection shall not be permitted for two (2) houses, even if houses adjoin and have the same owner. Charges for water and sewer service shall be set by the Water and Sewer Department. Billing shall take place and payment shall be due every quarter. All charges shall be at the current rate. However, there shall be no water connection made or allowed unless the houses are connected to the municipal sewer system. Houses with tenants shall also be charged quarterly for each and every tenant at the current rate. The owner of any property with tenants shall be responsible to pay all current quarterly charges as described herein for each tenant occupying such property.
